Further Vista Aero + Notes 7.0.2

Following on from Declan's comment, I tried disabling a bunch of stuff in Notes:
1. disabled all ECL authorities for Java bits
2. turned off scheduled replication
3. set Sametime to manual
but Aero still dies as soon as my "Notes configuration settings have been refreshed" - Notes client idle for about a minute after startup.
Will poke around further and see if anything else obviously JVM related is running - just battling to spot anything!
(This is only the Notes client bit running - even though I have the full Designer/Admin client installed)

Install the Java 6 (1.6 JVM) on Vista.
Copy the bin and lib directories from this into the same bin and lib directories under Notes. Notes will then use the updated 1.6 JVM instead of the outdated J9 junk.
Start notes 8..rejoice in Aero interface and faster performance.
